[Summary]
EverLighten is proud to help Ian Hawkins create unique socks with zippers. It was a challenging project because we rarely get such particular requests. It tested our design and manufacturing capabilities, but our expert team overcame every manufacturing limitation in creating the socks per their requirements and delivered them on time. The outcome was pretty satisfactory for everyone - the customer was happy, and our team got to polish our skills.
[About]
Ian Hawkins’ custom sock orders are rare. Most manufacturers did not accept his orders because of the hassles. The order quantity was also less, but EverLighten likes to help every customer create their dream custom products, and unlike others, we accepted the order. The project proved to everyone our expertise and manufacturing capabilities - our team also learned a lot during the project. It was a positive break from the regular orders that helped grow their skills and make the customer happy.
[What they were looking for]
Ian Hawkins wanted custom crew socks for the upcoming winter. The size was men’s L and regular thickness with a unique request - zipper pockets. It was a peculiar request; our customer service team had to confirm with the design and production team. Fortunately, they confirmed that the design was doable. The customer sent the zipper’s reference image, but after a long search with various suppliers, we had no luck. But, we continued our search - our team does not give up and goes the distance for customer satisfaction - and found similar zippers. We showed them to him, and they were satisfied with them.
[What we did for them]
We created the sample after getting the nod from the customer. During the production of the socks, our technicians found a few issues - the metal zipper had no stretchiness that was affecting the stretchability of the socks. Our team went the distance again and created two samples - one with yellow and the other with a black nylon zipper. The second one had a bit of stretchability. It ensured the sock was wearable. We sent them to the customer to choose from, and they selected the second option - the black one with stretchability.
[The Outcome]
We went into production and created socks with zippers after getting a nod. But, we encountered issues with communications - Ian was not responding to the service team’s emails because they could not receive them. Our team communicated with him over text messages. Ian was quite happy with our efforts and product and praised us, and we are looking forward to working with them again.
