EverLighten is proud to create custom embroidered patches for the Fire & Rescue Department of Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). Elliot Sutphin, Firefighter III–Logistics, contacted us to help with embroidered patches for their recruit class. The deadline was short, and they were unsure about the type of backing. However, our experienced team guided and provided various options and delivered on time - like always.

 

Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting, formerly part of the Federal Aviation Administration, formed the Airports Authority Fire & Rescue Department in 1987. Today, it is a full-service department and helps other regional departments to protect the National Capital Region. With a highly trained workforce, they strive to prevent incidents that can compromise the safety of people working and visiting the airport campuses.

 

They wanted to create custom embroidered patches with 75% embroidery and merrowed edges for their recruit class. The patch size was large than the general orders - 7inch width * 9inch height with a complex design. The deadline was short - 16 days, including 7-days for shipping time. They contacted several manufacturers but were disappointed - some did not accept their order while they were not convinced about the quality of others.

We did our best to get all the details from the customer to complete everything and hit his deadline. But getting all the required information was quite a challenge; the customer only had the actual patch and was not sure what specific border and backing.

 

We provided samples and suggestions to help the customer decide and to get the mock-up started. Unfortunately, permission for the mock-up from the customer’s superiors was late; it affected the deadline. Good thing the customer got consent to adjust the deadline. The production team rushed the order to meet the updated deadline. We shipped within 7-days of the order, and they got the delivery before the class graduation. They praised our hard work and quality and gave us a 5-star rating.
